Gwendolyn K. Crider Joins The National MultiCultural Institute as Executive Director
Washington, DC – October 2005 -- The Board of Directors of the National MultiCultural Institute (NMCI) is pleased to announce that Gwendolyn K. Crider will become Executive Director of NMCI on October 17, 2005.
Ms. Crider is the former Executive Director of the Austin Children’s Museum, the former President and Executive Director of Scitrek, the Science and Technology Museum of Atlanta, and prior to that, the Deputy Director of the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.
Ms. Crider has been a dynamic leader in the non-profit sector for over twenty years and brings extensive experience in promoting inclusion and diversity in the organizations where she worked. She will build on NMCI’s tradition of high quality work and further its vision of developing and expanding the field of multicultural awareness and change.
