Hip Hop: More than Song & Dance
Friday, November 9th
5:30 - 7:30 pm
Originally inspired by African American and Latino youth performing on the streets of New York, hip hop was created by isolating the beat of percussion rhythms from funk and disco.  Over the last 30 years, hip hop has evolved into a cultural movement that spans the globe.  Join us for this special event which will include a dance performance, discussion on the history of hip hop as a cultural movement and a fun and interactive dance lesson!
